Russia's Kamaz to resume truck production from April 6
MOSCOW, Apr 3 (PRIME) -- Russia's Kamaz will resume truck production on April 6 and some personnel will start working, the company said in a statement on Friday.
"Kamaz’ operations will ensure a reasonable response to the situation with the coronavirus spread, stabilization of the social situation, prevention of crime-provoking environment and minimize the economic outcome of the restrictive measures but the main advantage is provision of transport security of the country," CEO Sergei Kogogin said, as cited in the statement.
According to the statement, resumption of production was agreed with the authorities of the Tatarstan republic and the federal authorities.
